When we entered the fashion industry, we were inspired by the Roman myth of Venus. The Titan Cronus defeated his father and enemy, Uranus, by cutting him down. The parts of his body were thrown into the sea, and they rearranged themselves to form the Goddess of Beauty, Venus. Similarly, to the myth, here at Venus Accessories, we want to create beauty out of all the waste of the world. 8-9 million metric tons of plastic end up in our oceans every year, the equivalent of a garbage truck emptying plastic into the ocean every single minute. We want to do our part by restoring our oceans to their true beauty by using plastic waste from our oceans and transforming them into majestic accessories.
